Eaton, Colorado
The town of Eaton
Eaton is named after Benjamin Harrison Eaton, an water systems/irrigation pioneer who led the way in transforming the arid plains at the foot of the Front Range in Colorado into a thriving agricultural region. Eaton engineered irrigation systems that still bring water to the farms from high in the mountains. He later served as Governor of Colorado from 1885 to 1887.
