National Park Service Sites in Colorado
Beaver Meadows in Rocky Mountain National Park
Colorado has some incredible natural wonders but there are also a couple of National Park Service sites that revolve around ancient humans (Mesa Verde, Yucca House) and some around more modern historic events (Bents Old Fort, Sand Creek). There are also a couple of the great historic trails (Santa Fe, California, Old Spanish, Pony Express) that cross sections of the state. The Bureau of Land Management also operates some nice properties in Colorado, including Canyons of the Ancients National Monument and the Canyons of the Ancients Visitor Center.
