National Wildlife Refuges in Colorado
Browns Park National Wildlife Refuge
There are some beautiful National Wildlife Refuges in Colorado. These areas are administered by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service specifically for the benefit of wildlife (most often migrating birds and waterfowl). Wildlife refuges have become necessary because of the on-going destruction of natural habitat necessary for the survival of many species. Most refuges are open to the the public but some are not.
