Montezuma County, Colorado

Montezuma County is in southwestern Colorado, against the New Mexico and Utah borders. Montezuma County is right at the center of the largest collection of archaeological resources in North America. The Ute Mountain Ute Reservation is here, as is Mesa Verde National Park,, Canyons of the Ancients National Monument, Yucca House National Monument and the Anasazi Heritage Center.

Montezuma County contains 2,037 square miles of land and 3 square miles of water. The county seat and largest town is Cortez.
