Jackson County, Colorado
Arapaho National Wildlife Refuge
Jackson County is in north central Colorado with Wyoming to the north. Named for President Andrew Jackson, Jackson County contains 1,613 square miles of land and 8 square miles of water. The county seat is Walden.
A large part of Jackson County is National Forest, although the Colorado State Forest State Park also occupies a large chunk of land in the eastern part of the county. Just south of Walden is the Arapaho National Wildlife Refuge: a great place to go if you're looking for some wildlife (of the non-human persuasion, of course).
