The Edgewater Municipal Building
It seems Edgewater was named because it was on the edge of Sloan's Lake, a lake that formed after Thomas Sloan dug his well and tapped into an underground aquifer. The lake filled pretty quickly and at one time was more than 200 acres in size. Sloan's Lake is just inside the western boundary of the City of Denver. The park area around the lake makes up the second largest city park in Denver (after City Park).
