Pueblo County, Colorado
Union Station
Pueblo County is in the Arkansas River Valley east of the Wet Mountains and Front Range in southeastern Colorado. There was a time when Pueblo was a major American city with wealth flowing in from the agricultural and mineral realms. Then the minerals began to run out and the Dust Bowl hit and wiped out most of what agriculture was left after the Great Depression. Still, the first planned subdivision in America was built around Pitkin Avenue and the city still boasts some beautiful residential constructions from those days.
Pueblo County contains 2,385 square miles of land and 12.6 square miles of water.
