Former home of the Wiggins newspaper
Wiggins began life as a railroad station named "Corona." That was in 1882 as the railroad tracks were approaching Denver from the east. It is said that around 1900, the settlement was renamed "Wiggins" after Oliver P. Wiggins. Central to the story is that Wiggins served as a scout with the likes of Kit Carson and John C. Fremont.
