Moffat County, Colorado

Moffat County is in the northwest corner of Colorado with Wyoming to the north and Utah to the west. This is the home of Dinosaur National Monument. The Brown's Park area in the northwest part of the county also used to be famous as one of the biggest outlaw hideouts in the old West. The second largest county in Colorado, 55% of Moffat County is public land.

Named for David Moffat, a Colorado railroad tycoon, Moffat County contains 4,742 square miles of land and 9 square miles of water. The largest town and county seat is Craig.
