Topsail Hill Preserve State Park

With 1,640 acres of property, Topsail Hill Preserve State Park offers visitors about 3.2 miles of white sugar sandy beaches directly on the Gulf of Mexico. Some of the dunes here are more than 25 feet high and they protect two rare coastal dune lakes that offer some excellent freshwater fishing for bream, bass, catfish and panfish. The property includes a variety of wetlands with sand pine scrub, old-growth longleaf pines and pristine beaches. The state park offers a tram which runs every two hours starting at 9 am to help folks get from the parking/camping/cabin areas to the beach. For hikers and bird-watchers there are more than 13 miles of trails, some inland, some along the shore.

In addition to the 156-site full-facility campground, Topsail Hill Preserve also offers furnished and fully-equipped one-bedroom bungalows and two-bedroom, two-bath cabins with full amenities (except phones).

Topsail Hill Preserve State Park is open from 8 am to sunset every day of the year. Topsail Hill Preserve State Park is located on State Road 30A about 10 miles east of Destin. To the east of Topsail Hill Preserve State Park is Point Washington State Forest.
