Piute State Park
Piute Reservoir
Piute State Park is a well-kept secret, probably because of the trophy-class rainbow, brown and cutthroat trout in the reservoir. This reservoir was built by Robert D. Young, the same guy who supervised the construction of the dam at Otter Creek Reservoir, although he built this one several years later (1908). The dam is built on the main fork of the Sevier River and increased the irrigation capacities of the region significantly.
Piute State Park is open 24/7/365. Piute State Park is about 12 miles south of Marysvale, just off US 89 on Piute Reservoir.
