National Aviation Heritage Area: Air show
The original Wright Airplane Factory
The National Aviation Heritage Alliance was designated as the management entity of the National Aviation Heritage Area when the Heritage Area was designated by Congress in 2004. The objective of the Alliance (in partnership with the National Park Service) is to make the National Aviation Heritage Area the premier site in the world for aviation tourism by leveraging the historic resources of the eight-county area that surrounds Dayton and the Wright Brothers original bicycle and airplane works: the Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park is the centerpiece of the National Aviation Heritage Area.
