National Wilderness Areas in New Hampshire

A view in Pemigewasset Wilderness
The Wilderness Areas in New Hampshire are all within the bounds of White Mountain National Forest and most were first established by the Federal Wilderness Protection Act of 1984. The New England Wilderness Protection Act of 2006 added more property to the Sandwich Range Wilderness and established the Wild River Wilderness.
