Blue River, Colorado

Blue River is located along the valley of the Blue River as the river flows downhill to the north from Hoosier Pass. This is the southern gateway to Summit County and the scenery is simply exquisite. For the climbers there are four nearby summits above 14,000' and more than a few above 13,000'. The town is surrounded by Arapaho-Roosevelt National Forest. To do any shopping, you're going to have to go on down the hill into Breckenridge or Silverthorne.
